Abraham N. "Abe" Treshinsky

WESTMINSTER - Abraham N. "Abe" Treshinsky, 87, of 34 Gate House Rd. Westminster, died peacefully Wednesday, December 2nd, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by his family. He was born in Lawrence, MA. on March 30, 1922, the son of the late Samuel and Sarah (Estes)Treshinsky and had lived in Westminster since 1977. Abe worked as an administrator for 30 years at former Eastwood Pines Nursing Home Gardner, until his retirement in 1995. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in World War Two and received the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Campaign Ribbon and American Theatre Campaign Ribbon. Abe enjoyed fishing, photography and golf. His wife of 39 years, Barbara A. (Skinner) Treshinsky, died in January. His first wife, Jean (Hardy) Treshinsky, died in 1969. He is survived by five children, David Treshinsky and his wife Huguette of Ashburnham, Mark Treshinsky of Gardner, Jay Treshinsky of Winchendon, Jon Treshinsky and his wife Kimberly of Gardner and Jan Priest and her husband Gearry of Winchendon, a sister Mildred Slosberg, of FL., eight grandchildren, Brad Treshinsky, Becky Barton, Jeremy Treshinsky, Jared Treshinsky, Carley Treshinsky, Erin Priest, Jeffrey Priest and Kelly Graves; one great grandson, Samuel Treshinsky and three stepchildren, David Arbour, Stacey Arbour and Sandra Arbour. Private funeral services will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA. 01440.
