WINCHENDON - Adam R. LaVigne, 32, of 239 Main Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, November 3rd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis, with his family at his side. He was born in Reedsport, Oregon on April 10, 1978, the son of the late Richard L. and Susan J. (DeMaura) LaVigne, Jr and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Adam was the former manager of Dick's Wayside Furniture in Winchendon for several years. He had also delivered pizza for several years for Christos Restaurant. Adam was a 1996 graduate of Murdock High School, where he participated in many school activities, and had attended Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner. He enjoyed snowmobiling, kayaking, going to the ocean, camping and the outdoors. He also enjoyed remote control airplanes and helicopters and participating in fireworks shows. He leaves his wife of ten years, Sadie J. (Hodgman) LaVigne; his grandfather, Richard L. LaVigne Sr of Athol; his grandmother, Shirley Dunchus of Baldwinville, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. Adam was very devoted to his many friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Melinda A. "Mindy" LaVigne, who died in 1996. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9th at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Deacon James Connor will officiate. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, November 8th from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
