WINCHENDON - Alana R. Morlock, 57, of 262 Main Street, Winchendon, died unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, October 21st. She was born in Winchendon on March 15,1952, the daughter of the late Allen and Esther (Chase) Morlock and lived in Winchendon for most of her life. Alana worked at the Five Acre Farm in Northfield. For several years she worked as a secretary in the Planning and Development Office for the Town of Winchendon. She was also secretary for the Zoning Board and Agricultural Commission and retired a month ago as secretary of the Board of Health. At that time, she was honored with a plaque for her outstanding service and dedication. A graduate of Murdock High School, Alana also worked until recently as a clerk at Cumberland Farms in Winchendon. She was a member of the Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust in Athol. A lover of animals, Alana raised show dogs and entered and won many competitions. She leaves a sister, Barbara J. McFeters of Leominster and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Edward P. Morlock, Sr. and Francis P. Morlock and a sister, Priscilla M. Mintz. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27th at 1 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, October 26th from 6 to 8 P.M.
