WINCHENDON - Alfred F. "Freddie" Rocheleau, 70, of 9 Congress Road, Winchendon, died Thursday morning, August 6th, in his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Winchendon on January 12,1939, the son of the late Maximin S. and Coranna M. (Hardy) Rocheleau and was a lifelong resident here. Freddie was an attendant at the former Art's Texaco Service Station for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and had served in the National Guard. Fred enjoyed fishing and spending time with his great grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Patricia A. (Johnson) Rocheleau; one son, Kenneth H. Rocheleau of Winchendon; two daughters, Debra L. Simoneau and her husband Scott of Winchendon and Tracey M. Johnston and her husband Wayne of Gardner; three brothers, Roland J. Rocheleau, Maurice S. Rocheleau and George S. Rocheleau, all of Winchendon; four sisters, Anna M. Cormier of Leominster, Cecile R. May, Rita M. Elola and Theresa A. Thurlow, all of Winchendon; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Arthur J. Rocheleau Sr., who died in 2005, and Joseph C. Rocheleau, who died in 2007, predeceased him. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 7th at 7 P.M. in the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Memorial calling hours will be held in the funeral home Friday, August 7th from 5 to 7 P.M., preceding the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
