GARDNER – Alice M. (LaLiberte) LaChance, 76, of 377 Elm Street, formerly of Winchendon, died peacefully Monday morning, September 22nd at her residence, with her family at her side.
She was born in Gardner on August 9, 1938, daughter of the late Romeo and Eunice (Stone) LaLiberte and lived in Winchendon for many years until moving to Gardner three years ago.
Alice worked at Simplex for twenty years and later worked as office administrator at Fred’s School Bus Co. in Winchendon for 17 years until her retirement. In her younger years, she loved bowling, dancing and traveling with her husband. Her greatest love was Old Orchard Beach, ME. In more recent years, she enjoyed playing cards with her husband.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Roger LaChance Sr; her children, Cherie Adams and husband James of Gardner, Ricky LaChance of Gardner, Roger LaChance Jr of Gardner and Loriann Riley. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughter Jamie Adams of Gardner and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves her three brothers, Robert LaLiberte and wife Norma of Millbury, James LaLiberte of Florida and Roger LaLiberte and wife Betty of Gardner, her sister, Irene LaLiberte of Baldwinville and several nephews and nieces. She will also be missed by her baby girls, Missy and Muffin. Alice was predeceased by two brothers, Francis LaLiberte and Hank LaLiberte and her sister, Barbara Richard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26th at 3 P.M. in Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate.
