WINCHENDON - Alice M. (Nadeau) Carrier, 92, of 71 North Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, January 19th in the Legend Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation , Gardner. She was born in Winchendon on April 23,1917, the daughter of the late Eugene and Hazel (Blair) Nadeau and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Alice worked as an upholsterer at the former Mason and Parker Co for 50 years until her retirement. A 1935 graduate of Murdock High School, she was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She leaves a son, Robert G. Carrier and his wife Rita of Reseda, CA, a half brother Edward Whittemore of AZ; three grandchildren, Deborah Mendez, Linda Hernandez and Sharon Lombardo; five great grandchildren, Michael Mendez, Steven Hernandez, Brian Hernandez, Cameron Lombardo and Kristin Lombardo; a close friend, Henry Girard, with whom she lived, and nephews and nieces. A sister, Doris LaBrack, predeceased her. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 30th at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
