GARDNER – Alice T. (Rocheleau) Jennings, 73, of 108 Monadnock Street, died peacefully Thursday, May 7th, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Winchendon on December 2, 1941, daughter of the late Leo Joseph and Hazel M. (Reed) Rocheleau and lived in Winchendon for most of her life. In 1992, Alice moved to Gardner.
Alice worked for 23 years at the Templeton Developmental Center until her retirement in 2004. She worked for 18 years as a clothing room lady and then worked five years in direct care. She enjoyed traveling, reading and watching movies, playing card games and search a word puzzles. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Her husband, John P. Jennings, died in 1989. She leaves three daughters, Alice Kay Morse, Arlene Fay Pratt and Penney Lee Arsenault, all of Winchendon, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert L. Rocheleau, Raymond J. Rocheleau, Ralph E. Rocheleau, and Richard F. Rocheleau, and a sister, Helen Smith.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
