Anita M. Davidson-Ford

Templeton, MA

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Anita Davidson-Ford, a beacon of strength, joy, and resilience. Born into the world on October 14th, 1961, in Athol, Massachusetts, Anita walked her own path, radiating kindness and touching the lives of all she encountered. We lost our beloved Anita on May 3rd, 2024, to her long battle with COPD yet her legacy of love and resilience will forever remain etched in our hearts. 

She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmum, sister, aunt, and most of all listener who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Templeton, Ma. She  had a strong green thumb whether it came to flowers or vegetables she was the one to ask. 
Anita loved animals and cooking but most of all she loved being outdoors and her family close by. 

Anita, a woman of profound simplicity and immense courage, was the epitome of grace and hard work. For more than 25 years, she served with the Postal Service, bringing a sense of dedication and determination to her role as a janitor. Anita was a steadfast employee, committed to her work, and cherished by her colleagues. She didn't just clean; she created a nurturing environment for everyone around her. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Anita made people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Anita found her soulmate in George Ford, whom she married on April 1st, 1997. Their enduring love story was a testament to their shared values and mutual respect. Together they raised a strong willed Son, Garret Davidson-Ford and a beautiful hardworking daughter, Cara Rae Davidson-Ford, who is a living testament to Anita's nurturing spirit and unwavering belief in the power of love.

She is also survived by her Brother and Sister-in-Law, Todd and Diane Davidson. Brother, Robert(Bobby)Davidson along with her son-in-law, Ricky Whipple. Daughter-In-Law Brittany Davidson-Ford.  Granddaughter, Audrey Rae Carol Whipple.
With many nieces and nephews she loved to watch grow and loved them so very much. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Davidson and Carol Purrington, whose love and lessons shaped Anita into the outstanding woman she became.
Her two brothers, Gary and Jay Davidson.

As we mourn the loss of Anita Davidson-Ford, we also celebrate her life, cherishing the memories we shared and the impact she made on our lives. Her spirit, her love, and her legacy will continue to guide us, inspire us, and live on in our hearts forever.

To honor Anita’s memory, we are holding a CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE on June 9,2024 from 11am-4pm at the Templeton Fish and Game Club. 
We invite anyone who knew Her to attend and remember her wonderful soulful life. We ask attendees to wear bright colors and flower dresses.
