Anita B. (Brehio) Ladeau

WINCHENDON - Anita B. (Brehio) Ladeau, 90, of 61 Winter Street, died Wednesday evening, March 22nd in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, following an illness. She was born in Winchendon on March 15,1916, the daughter of John and Rose (Bastille) Brehio and was a lifelong resident. Anita was a graduate of Murdock High School with the class of 1934 and was a psychiatric nurse at the former Gardner State Hospital before her marriage. She was an assistant librarian at the Beals Memorial Library before her retirement. Anita was a member of the United Parish, the Winchendon Historical Society and was once active in Girl Scouts. She enjoyed reading to children. Her husband of 32 years, Richard E. Ladeau, died in 1972. She leaves two sons, George J. "Joe" Ladeau and Richard J. "Jack" Ladeau, both of Winchendon; two daughters, Marjorie L. Oinonen of Winchendon and Denise L. Knight of Lisbon Falls, Maine; a brother, Cyril M. Brehio of Winchendon; three sisters, Elizabeth L. Brehio of Winchendon, Rita White of Jackson Heights, New York and Lucille Kaiser of Denver, CO.; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Brehio and a sister, Norma Kidder. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27th at 11 A.M. in the United Parish, 39 Front Street. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller, pastor, and the Rev. Dr. Richard H. Killough will officiate. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street will be Sunday, March 26th from 2-4 P.M.
