WINCHENDON – Annette M. (Cardin) Duvarney, 83, of 17 Pearl St., Winchendon died peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 17, 2019 in Wachusett Manor, Gardner, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on January 5, 1936, daughter of the late Mathilda (Ricard) and Albert Cardin and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. She was educated in Winchendon schools and was a 1954 graduate of Murdock High School.
Annette worked many years at Rose’s Dress Shop, and was an assembler at Simplex until her retirement. She was a member of Cornerstone Church, and a den mother for the Royal Rangers, Cub & Boy Scouts. She enjoyed knitting, coloring, camping, and decorating cakes. Most of all Annette loved spending time with family.
Her husband, Gerald P. Duvarney, Sr. died in 2003. She leaves a son, Gerald P. Duvarney, Jr. and his wife Kim of Grafton; a daughter, Donna M. Duvarney-Heacox and her husband James of Winchendon; 4 grandchildren, Bennett Chadbourne and his wife Lauren, Victoria Chadbourne, Zacharie Duvarney and Katie Heacox; a son-in-law, William Chadbourne of Phillipston; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of Ann M. Chadbourne and the sister of Alice T. LaPointe, Beatrice E. May, Elaine D. Cardin, and Maurice D. Cardin all who predeceased her.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 12 Noon in Cornerstone Church of the Assemblies of God, 122 Gardner Road, Winchendon.
Calling hours in church will precede the funeral from 10 AM to Noon Monday.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
