April Ann Haggett

April 9, 1960 — August 30, 2024

Phillipston, MA

April Ann Haggett, a luminous beacon of creativity and talent, passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on April 9, 1960, in Gardner, MA, April embodied the vibrancy of spring, blossoming into a woman of extraordinary character, support, and humor. As the wonderful American author Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," and April, with her zest for life and passion for art, was always one step ahead.

April's career was marked by her role as a Department Manager at Pelletier's lumber yard, a position she held until her retirement in 2013. She also worked for Yield House as a furniture detailer, Brooks Pharmacy as a pharmacy tech, and as an automoblie pinstriper for several small businesses Her work ethic and dedication were widely recognized and appreciated, but it was outside of work where April's true colors shone through. An accomplished artist, she found profound joy in painting and various arts and crafts. Her creations not only added color to her life but also to those around her, radiating her inner light and warmth. April's love for working in her yard was a testament to her nurturing nature, as she turned her residence in Phillipston, Massachusetts into a sanctuary that reflected her personality.

April's strength lay in her unwavering support for her family and friends, a trait that made her an anchor in the lives of many. She was a loving daughter, a cherished sister, and a devoted wife until the passing of her husband. April is survived by her mother Janet Pervier, her sisters Sue Bennett and her husband Jeff, Amy Pervier and her fiance James Strazdas, and Jan Pervier and her brothers Jeff Pervier, and his partner Terri Brady, Paul Pervier and his wife Flo, and Bernie Pervier and his wife Chris; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Rodney Pervier, her beloved husband Donnie Haggett, and her brothers Ray Pervier and Dean Pervier.

In the words of Henry David Thoreau, "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." April had a unique way of seeing the world, and her perspective was a gift to us all. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the art she leaves behind. We encourage you to leave your memories of April and upload photos to the memorial page, to share the joy she brought into our lives.
