WINCHENDON – Arlene E. “Pickles” Paul, 66, of 94 Sargent Road, Westminster and a former long time resident of Winchendon, died unexpectedly at her residence Thursday, October 23rd.
She was born in Winchendon on November 28, 1947, daughter of the late Arthur and Ann O. (Varga) Paul and was a 1965 graduate of Murdock High School. Pickles lived in Winchendon for most of her life. Five years ago she moved to Westminster.
Pickles retired on July 31st of this year, after working for 14 years at Rock Tenn Co. in Devens, where she was a fork lift operator. She enjoyed scrapbooking, woodworking and collecting Teddy Bears. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She leaves a brother Arthur L. Paul and his wife Tammy of Winchendon; a sister, Sandra A. Stapel and her husband Paul of Rio Rancho, N.M.; her nieces and nephews, Michael DeCarolis and his wife Jennifer, Wendy DeCarolis, Brandon Paul and Whitney Paul and two great nieces, Cassandra DeCarolis and Taylor Powell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29th at 6 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 6 P.M. preceding the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery on Friday, October 31st at 10 A.M.
