WINCHENDON – Barbara A. (Grasmuck) Desaulniers, 73, of 162 Mill Street, Winchendon, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, February 22 nd , in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with her family at her side.
She was born in Dublin, NH on November 11, 1937, daughter of the late William F. and Roseanne (Ashmore) Grasmuck and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.
Barbara worked as an assembler at Ray Plastics for 31 years until her retirement. She was educated in Winchendon schools. She was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo. Barbara also enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family. For 17 years, Barbara enjoyed spending winters with her husband in Okeechobee, Florida.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Maurice Desaulniers; two brothers, William F. Grasmuck Jr and his wife Lillian of Winchendon and Harold F. Grasmuck of Worcester; two sisters, Jean Rivard and her husband Donald of Winchendon and Brenda Kelly and her husband Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colorado and several nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. A sister, Rose Marie Jean, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 28 th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, February 27 th from 6 to 8 P.M.
