Barbara L. Ducharme

ATHOL – Barbara L. (Hill) Ducharme, 85, of Athol, died peacefully Sunday morning, July 11, 2021 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare.

She was born in Gardner on September 26, 1935, daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Safstrom) Hill and lived in Gardner for many years.  In 1999, she moved to Athol, where she lived for several years.  In recent years, she had lived in Orange.

Barbara was a CNA and had worked at Baldwinville Nursing Home, Gardner Manor, Wachusett Manor and at Heywood Hospital, at various times.  She was a member of Athol Congregational Church, Athol Golden Agers and the Lakeside Tenants Association.

Her husband, Rev. Francis Ducharme, died in 1998.  She leaves two sons, Scott Tresback and his wife Joanne of New Salem and Barry Tresback and his wife Karen of Baldwinville; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Tresback and a daughter, Laura Horrigan.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July19, 2021 at 10 A.M. in Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut Street, Athol.

Burial will follow in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Gardner.

Memorial donations may be made to Athol Congregational Church.
