LEOMINSTER – Beverly A. (Day) Amedio, 84, of 156 Lincoln Terrace, died peacefully Tuesday evening, May 4, 2021 in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.
She was born in Sanford, Maine on February 15, 1937 and was raised by her parents Myrtle and Robert Day. She came to Massachusetts at the age of six and was a 1955 graduate of Leominster High School.
Beverly was a hairdresser and owned her own hair salon at one time. She was a jack of all trades and master of all. She made wedding cakes, did arts and crafts, worked with electronics, knitted and made quilts for everyone, in addition to operating her own business and being a wife and mother.
She was a member of Leominster and Fitchburg Senior Centers, Leominster Bocce Club, and Leominster Foggia Club.
She leaves her husband of over 50 years, Michael C. Amedio; six children, Pauline Amedio-Neville of Winchendon, Debralee Hudson of Fitchburg, Patricia Daigle of Jaffrey, NH, Everett Racine of Leominster, Jerilynn Enright of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mark Amedio of Castro Valley, CA; two sisters, Kay Saunders of Leominster and Lois Cavello of Lorraine, OH; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon at a later date.
