GARDNER – Beverly A. (Sawyer) LeBlanc, 71, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, died peacefully Monday evening, September 23rd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont Avenue, Worcester, with her family at her side, after a long illness.
She was born in Winchendon on August 3, 1942, daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie Florence (Gordon) Sawyer and lived most of her life in Gardner.
Beverly worked for a number of years as a personal care attendant at Templeton Developmental Center. She previously provided foster care at her home, caring for approximately 200 children through the years. Her hobbies included crafts and photography. Being family oriented, she enjoyed family events and was known for her great sense of humor. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in East Templeton.
She leaves three children, Laura A. Stacy and her husband James of Templeton, Robin M. McAlister and her husband Alan of Gardner and Henry J. LeBlanc Jr and his wife Maureen of Enfield, CT; her brothers and sisters, Joseph Sawyer of Southbridge, Dorothy Glockner and her husband Thomas of Westminster, Margaret Harris of Templeton and Herbert Sawyer and his wife Darlene of Southbridge, a brother in law, Joseph Craig of Enfield, CT; nine grandchildren, Marcy Morrissette, Maranda Donnelly, Jasmine Stacy, Brittainey Molina, Niko LeBlanc, Kelly McAlister, Alan W. McAlister, Jacob McAlister and Justin McAlister, a God daughter, JaimeeLee Jubrey, three great grandchildren, Marcus Morrissette, Sawyer Donnelly and Dante Molina and several nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Carolyn White and Elizabeth Craig, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 27th at 11 A.M. in Holy Cross Church, Lake Avenue, East Templeton.
