Beverly M. Morin

WINCHENDON – Beverly M. (Greenwood) Morin, 93, of Winchendon, died peacefully Monday evening, May 20, 2019 in Heywood Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Hanover, New Hampshire on May 11, 1926, daughter of the late Clyde and Esther (Saunders) Greenwood and was a 1944 graduate of Hartford High School in White River Junction, VT.  She had lived in Winchendon for many years.

Beverly had worked as a ward secretary in Heywood Hospital for 14 years until her retirement in 1988.  She later worked at Middle School as assistant librarian from 1988 to 1991.  She was a member of Bethany Bible Chapel.

In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed all sports and was an excellent skier.  She had been a Boy Scout den mother, Girl Scout leader and had taught Sunday School while living in CT.  She enjoyed ceramics, dancing with her husband, coloring, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Her husband of 38 years, Richard A. Morin, died in 1997.  A son, Richard L. Morin, died in 2011.  She leaves a daughter, Maureen D. Thompson of Rindge, NH; a son, Donald N. Creighton of Springfield; a half-sister, Ruth Williams of Florida; six grandchildren, including two special grandchildren, Jenna Roberts and Alexis Thompson; many great grandchildren, including two special great grandchildren, Jordynn and Jianna; nieces and nephews. A sister, Barbara Harrison, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 5 to 7 P.M.
