TEMPLETON – Billy G. Lambert Sr, 77, of 2 Williams Street, Baldwinville, died peacefully Saturday morning, April 6th, at his residence, with his family at his side.
He was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on August 2, 1935, where he was raised by his father and grandmother, and had lived in Baldwinville for many years.
Billy worked for many years at the former Temple Stuart Furniture Company as a maintenance man until his retirement. Previously, he was a self-employed mechanic. Billy proudly served his country as a member of United States Army.
An avid fisherman and trap shooter, Billy was a former member of Royalston Fish and Gun Club. He enjoyed shooting pool in a pool league at the Gardner VFW. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and working on cars. Billy enjoyed bowling and had been a member of bowling leagues in Gardner and Winchendon. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Billy treasured spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Betty-Anne (Lovewell) Lambert; three children, Stephen Lambert and his wife Sheila of Lindsay, OK, Rhonda Barsamian of Gardner and Billy G. Lambert Jr and his wife Brigid of Gardner; six grandchildren, Stephen Lambert III and his wife Ashley, Tiffany Barsamian, Alysse Barsamian, Jordan Barsamian, Devon Barsamian and Shannon Lambert; five great grandchildren, Kole Lambert, Brooklyn Lambert, Laila Barsamian, Lilyana Barsamian and Leigha Barsamian as well as nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Joan and Ollie, predeceased him.
Private graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville. There are no calling hours.
