Brandon P. Bonk

July 16, 1965 — April 3, 2019

GARDNER – Brandon P. Bonk, 53, of 70 Ken Drive, died peacefully Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in UMASS Memorial Hospital, University Campus, Worcester, with his family at his side.

He was born in Hawthorne, California on July 16, 1965, son of Kenneth R. Bonk of Gardner and the late Michele M. (Lafayette) Bonk Ryan.  Brandon was a 1984 graduate of Gardner High School in the “five year plan” affectionately remembered by his family and friends.

Brandon worked many years ago as a printer at the Gardner News and as a ski lift operator at Wachusett Mountain. He then worked as a golf pro at Monoosnock Country Club in Lunenburg.  For the last 20 years, he had been employed at the Gardner Post Office as a mail carrier.  His hobbies included boating, metal detecting and exploring unique outdoor natural features in New England.  Brandon was a member of the Gardner Museum.

In addition to his father, he leaves three sisters, Bethany S. Arseneau and her husband Jean-Louis of Gardner, Lt. Col Retired Brenda L Bonk and her husband Col. Retired John Fant of Independence, VA and Tara J. Ryan of Gardner and two nephews, Jack and Peter Fant.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2 P.M. in First Baptist Church, 14 High Street, Gardner.  The Rev. Jim Hinds will officiate.

There are no calling hours.
