WINCHENDON – Brenda A. (Dionne) Couture, 69, of 373 Maple Street, Winchendon, died peacefully at her residence Sunday morning, July 3 rd , with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on January 1, 1942, the daughter of the late Angenar A. and Dori L (Scalogna) Dionne and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.
Brenda worked at Wal-Mart in Rindge for several years until her retirement. She previously worked in Quality Control at Teleflex in Jaffrey, NH. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. In 1960, she graduated from Murdock High School. She enjoyed knitting and crafting, going to craft shops and doing jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Gerald P. Couture; three children, Marilyn Bussiere and her husband John of Winchendon, David Couture and his fiancé Beth Hickey of New Ipswich, NH, and Carla Bailey and her husband Steven of Rindge, NH; eight grandchildren, Katie, Ian and Chelsea Bussiere, Sean, Todd and Derek Couture, and Evan and Erik Bailey and two great grandchildren, Joey and Alliy Santora. She also leaves aunts, an uncle and several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 7 th at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street will be Thursday, July 7 th from 9 to 10:30 A.M. preceding the Mass.
Memorial donations may be made to the Winchendon Community Action, 273 Central Street or to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Restoration Fund, 52 Spruce Street, both of Winchendon, MA 01475.
