GARDNER – Carole M. (Touchette) Boulay, 64, of 34 Mill Street, died peacefully Saturday evening, July 18th, at her residence.
She was born in Gardner on October 2, 1950, daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Merle A. (Brehio) Touchette. She grew up in Gardner, where she lived her entire life. Carole was a graduate of Gardner High School, Mount Wachusett Community College and University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a degree in social work.
Carole worked for many years as a social worker in several area nursing homes. Her hobbies were reading and enjoying her cats.
Her husband of 19 years, Philip G. Boulay, died in 2011. She leaves her close nieces and nephews, Carol Spruiell, Courtney Touchette, Michael, Chris and Chad Touchette; her stepchildren, Sean Boulay of Millbury, Joel Boulay and his wife Samantha of Cherry Valley and Danielle Ostrokolowicz and her husband Tim of Webster; nine stepgrandchildren; her aunt, Marion Lancey of Baldwinville and several cousins. Three brothers, Bernard L. Touchette, William J. Touchette and Richard E. Touchette, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Saturday, July 25th from 9:30 to 11 A.M. preceding the service.
