WINCHENDON - Carolyn M. (Lavigne) Fournier, 66, of 362 Brown Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Sunday morning, February 1st, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gardner on September 8,1942, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeannette (Arsenault) Lavigne and graduated from Gardner High School in 1960. For the last 25 years, she had lived in Winchendon. Carolyn was a mentor and care giver for the last fourteen years at her home in Winchendon. She previously had worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearing and New England Firearms. Carolyn was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, AARP and Women's Health and Wellness. She was a volunteer at the Winchendon CAC for 12 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and bowling, and bowled in a Bowling League in Winchendon at one time. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family. Her husband, Robert J. Fournier, whom she married February 14,1982, died in 1989. She leaves nine children, Anne Marie Lami of Winchendon, Michael F. Woodward of Winchendon, Richard J. Woodward of Gardner, Tracy A. Aldman of Townsend, Kevin P. Woodward of Townsend, Cathy L. Casavant of Royalston, Joseph P. Fournier of Winchendon, Jaylene P. Terminello of Middletown, CT., and Danica L. Fournier Young of Saco, ME.; a close friend and companion, Robert Young of Winchendon, with whom she lived, fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two nephews. A brother, Richard Joseph Lavigne, predeceased her in 1946, and a sister, Patricia Nordman of Baldwinville, died last week. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4th at 11 A.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. John Neilon will officiate. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday, February 3rd from 6 to 8 P.M. and Wednesday, February 4th from 10 to 11 A.M. before the funeral. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
