WINCHENDON – Charlotte A. (Patria) Drury, 100, formerly of 3 Winter Street and 547 Central Street, died peacefully Wednesday morning, April 15, 2020 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville.
She was born in Winchendon on March 26, 1920, daughter of the late Benjamin and Angie B. (White) Patria and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Charlotte graduated from Murdock High School with the Class of 1938.
Following her high school graduation, Charlotte was hired by Davenport Oil Company and worked there for about ten years. From there, she went to work for Bateman Oil Company as a secretary until her retirement in 1961. She was a former member of the Unitarian Universalist Society, where she sang in the choir and had been a member of its Standing Committee. She was past vice president and secretary of the Putnam Alliance. She and her husband enjoyed flea marketing and antiquing together.
Her husband of 30 years, Richard H. Drury, died in 1991. She leaves grandnieces and grandnephews. Two brothers, Maurice Patria and Mardis Patria, predeceased her.
Funeral services and burial in Riverside Cemetery will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
