Clifton B. Stedman

WINCHENDON - Clifton B. Stedman, 90, of 111 Hitchcock Road, Winchendon, died Saturday, April 15th in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following an illness. He was born in Winchendon on December 29,1915, the son of Phineas and Lillian A. (Baldwin) Stedman and was a lifelong resident. Cliff was a graduate of Murdock High School with the class of 1934. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 2 and was a member of the Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion and the Lt. Frederick Wilder Post 2158 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Worcester County Bee Keepers Association. Cliff was a finish carpenter, employed by Local 48 for many years before his retirement. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Marie B. (Cloutier) Stedman, also a resident of the nursing home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19th at 1:30 P.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. The Rev. Jennie A. Barrington of the Universalist Unitarian Church of Winchendon, will officiate. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
