WESTMINSTER - Dana J. Lupien, 36, of Westminster, formerly of Winchendon, died Friday afternoon, July 31st in his home, surrounded by his family, after an illness. He was born in Winchendon on November 13,1972, the son of the late Joseph L. and Carol E. (Rajaniemi) Lupien and graduated in 1990 from Murdock High School. Dana was a quality team leader for several years at Munksjo Paper Company in Fitchburg. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where he was a former altar server. Dana was very devoted to his sons and acted as a coach in their various sports activities. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with them at the family camp in Northern Vermont. Dana was an avid sports fan and followed the Red Sox and Patriots. While in high School, Dana played basketball, football and ran track. He was Co-Captain of Murdock High School Football Team, where was a running back and also played defense. He leaves two sons, Isaac J. and Dylan J. Lupien of Winchendon and their mother, Renee J.(Ronco) Lupien; three brothers, Joseph L. Lupien Jr. of Alexandria, NH, Cole A. Lupien of Westminster and Keith B. Lupien of Winchendon; two sisters, Tracey A. Dev of Princeton, NJ and Angela K. Whalen of Westminster; his partner, Rebecca Gauthier and her daughter Melaina Duval, with whom he lived, of Westminster; two aunts, Aline LaFalam of Winchendon and Jeannette Brown of Ipswich, MA; four nephews, Zak Whalen, Joseph Dev, Matthew Dev and Sam Dev; five nieces, Amy Lupien, Tonia Lupien, Kandice Whalen, Maya Dev and Carol Lupien and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 4th from the Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 P.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, August 3rd from 5 to 8 P.M.
