David K Duval

April 4, 1958 — October 8, 2024

David Duval of Winchendon, Massachusetts, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Born in Winchendon on April 4, 1958, to Lawrence Duval and Elizabeth Tenney, David was a dedicated craftsman who devoted 50 years of his life to woodcrafting, turning simple pieces of wood into beautiful works of art. His love for his craft was only surpassed by the love he had for his family and his penchant for fishing and trips to Foxwoods. As someone once said, "The heart of a father is the masterpiece of nature," and David embodied this truth with his loving, compassionate, and funny nature.

David was married to his loving wife, Laurette, for an incredible 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Laurette, his children, Meagan Rugg and Nathan Martus, and his siblings, Wayne Duval, Dale Lucier, and Nada Girouard. He was a proud grandfather to Shelby Lyman and Kameron Duval, and a doting great-grandfather to Devin Duval and Jaxon Lyman. David was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth, and his sister, Joanne Eldridge.

David will be remembered as a man who made everyone around him feel loved and cherished. His dedication and love for his family were the cornerstones of his life, and his presence will be deeply missed. As we mourn the loss of our dear David, we also celebrate his life and the precious moments we have shared with him.
