WINCHENDON – David F. Casey, 49, of 11 Main Street Apt. 1, Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday morning, January 19th in Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston.
He was born in Gardner on December 11, 1962 and grew up in Baldwinville, graduating from Narragansett Regional High School in 1980. David had lived in Winchendon for the last twelve years.
At the time of his death, David was a mental health worker for Monadnock Developmental Services in Keene, NH. He previously worked for twenty years at Templeton Developmental Center. David loved fishing, over the years he played in several area softball and dart leagues, along with coaching and umpiring for the Templeton Little League. He was an avid sports fan, loving all college and professional sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.
He leaves his wife of eight years, Patricia A. (O’Neal) Casey; two sons, Alan M. Casey of Framingham and Wade J. Casey of Gardner; two stepchildren, Jennifer Doe of Gardner and Cameron O’Neal of Winchendon; his parents, Joseph Donald and Edna A. (Cormier) Casey of Barre; his former wife and friend, Donna Casey of Winchendon and many close cousins. Dave was predeceased by a brother, Alan Casey and a sister, Diane Casey.
Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Monday, January 23rd from 5 to 7 P.M. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner will be at a later date.
