WINCHENDON - David H. St.Pierre, 75, of 24 Carriage Lane, Winchendon, died Sunday, June 29th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. He was born in Winchendon on August 23,1932, the son of Horace D. and Iva R. (Perron) St.Pierre and graduated from Murdock High School in 1950. Dave was a foreman at many area furniture companies. He worked for S. Bent Brothers Furniture Company, Standard Chair and then Modern Contract Furniture Company, retiring from there in 1997. Following retirement, he worked part-time at the Blue Moon Diner in Gardner. Dave proudly served in the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Lt. Frederick Wilder White Post 2158 VFW in Winchendon, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Silver Sneakers. Dave was very witty and enjoyed puzzles of all types. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Lorraine M. (Fisher) St.Pierre; three children, David H. St.Pierre and his wife, Karen Strunk of Sullivan, ME., Kevin S. St.Pierre and his wife, Lora of Supply, NC and Gail A. Bergeron and her husband, Paul of New Ipswich, NH; a brother, Robert J. St.Pierre of Winchendon, seven grandchildren, Jordan Bergeron, Tyler Bergeron, Brian Bergeron, Sarah St.Pierre, Eric St.Pierre, Travis St.Pierre and Chelse St.Pierre; one great grandson, Steven Tyler Bergeron, a very dear friend Terry St.Pierre of Bangor, ME. and several nephews and nieces. Military funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2nd at 11 A.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
