WINCHENDON - David L. Sevigny, Sr., 61, of 1 Wendell Drive, died peacefully in his residence late Wednesday, December 14th, surrounded by his loving family, following an illness. He was born in Winchendon on October 4,1944, the son of Henry J. and Ethel M. (Gassett) Sevigny and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. David was the owner and operator of David L. Sevigny Inc., which he founded in 1963. He formerly owned a building supply business in Winchendon. He was a member of the Winchendon Board of Health, was a former member of the Winchendon Fire Department, was a life member of the Winchendon Rod and Gun Club, and was a generous supporter of the DARE program, the Murdock Sports Boosters, and sponsored a Winchendon Little League team. David leaves his wife of 33 years, Cheryl P. (Wiles) Sevigny; four sons, David L. Sevigny Jr., Richard A. Sevigny, Anthony W. Sevigny and Michael J. Sevigny, all of Winchendon; four daughters, Cathleen C. Sevigny, Patricia A. Sevigny, Diane M. Sevigny and Mary A. Sevigny, all of Winchendon; a brother, Henry J. Sevigny of Gardner; a sister, Marjorie Allen of Athol; 14 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In accordance with his wishes, private funeral services will be held in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
