WINCHENDON – Debra A. Garno, 49, of 145 Hale Street, Winchendon, died peacefully at home Tuesday morning, January 3rd, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Winchendon on July 23, 1962, the daughter of Richard E. and Dolores (Agnelli) “Tootsie” Garno of Winchendon and lived in Winchendon for her entire life.
Debbie graduated from Murdock High School in 1981. She will fondly be remembered for her bright smile and her love for those, she came in contact with. Debbie was member of Greater Gardner Association for Retarded Citizens, with whom she enjoyed bowling. She loved crocheting, baking, playing cards, swimming and camping. She especially enjoyed playing bingo, riding her bicycle and spending time with her family, nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, Debbie leaves a brother Richard E. Garno Jr. and his wife Sue of Winchendon; a sister, Lisa M. Nelson and her husband Kim of Winchendon; four nephews and nieces, Michelle Nelson, Arthur Nelson, Georgianna Garno and Molly Garno, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7th at 10:30 AM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, January 6th from 6 to 8 PM.
