GARDNER – Dennis Chicoine, 65, of 251 Otter River Road, died peacefully Tuesday morning, February 23, 2021 in Vero Health and Rehabilitation, Worcester.
He was born in Gardner on December 16, 1955, son of the late George and Rose (Lafond) Chicoine and was a lifelong resident of Gardner.
Dennis worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic and a dismantler at various area junkyards and used car lots. He had worked at Toy Town Junk Yard, Nick’s Used Cars in Jaffrey, NH, Hamels and MB & W Junkyard in Baldwinville. His hobby was working on cars. He also loved to watch his grandchildren play in in the yard and have family barbecues. He loved his children and grandchildren and will be remembered as a very kind man, who always meant well. He loved a dog snickers, which he loved with all his heart that his grandchildren gave to him. Many years ago, he was a member of a bike club and he loved his fellow brothers.
His wife, Katherine A. (Doucette) Chicoine, died in 2015. He leaves three sons, Shawn A. Chicoine and his fiancé Jennifer O’Hare of Gardner, David A. Chicoine of Hubbardston and Denny A. Chicoine of Gardner; a brother, Bruce Chicoine of Gardner and eight grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Amy Chicoine.
Calling hours will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 from 2 to 4 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
Masks and social distancing are required.
Burial will be Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
