Dennis M. Jean

November 12, 1951 — June 13, 2024

Winchendon

On the 13th of June, we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Dennis M. Jean Sr., born November 12, 1951, in Medford, MA. A beloved family man, and a lifelong Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox. Dennis worked for Stop & Shop for 42 years, driving for Van Pool for 13 years, and selling real estate for several years, Dennis embodied the epitome of devotion and commitment to his work.  Dennis was best known for his love of others, he had a true care for everyone's life and wellbeing and could not wait to hear about their adventures.  He made everyone he met feel important and loved and had a sincere smile and love for them on a personal level, a true friend to all he met.

Dennis was a man who knew how to enjoy life. His passion for candlepin bowling, horseshoes, and softball, where he excelled as a pitcher, brought joy to those around him.  Dennis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joanne Jean; his children D. Michael Jean, Jr., Stephanie Geanuracos, and Tim Jean, their spouses Sarah Jean, Bill Geanuracos, and Amanda Jean; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his sister Donna Quigley and his brother Lawrence Jean. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Jeannette Jean.

We invite everyone who had the privilege of knowing Dennis to join us at his viewing on Wednesday, June 19th from 5-8 pm at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 11 AM at Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon, MA.

For those attending services, we encourage Red Sox apparel.
