ATHOL - Dennis J. Snyder, 39, of 120 Arthur Avenue, Athol, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 17th in Athol Memorial Hospital. He was born in Gardner on November 21, 1970, the son of Margaret "Peggy" (Fitzpatrick) Snyder of Baldwinville and the late Donald Snyder and had lived in Athol for two years, moving from Baldwinville, where he lived for a year. Dennis owned and operated D. Snyder Hardwood Floor Restoration and also drove a truck for U.S. Paving Co. in Woburn. He enjoyed weightlifting, playing pool and was an avid bowler. Dennis was a member of the Eugene M. Connor Post 193 Sons of the American Legion in Winchendon. Educated in Gardner schools, he was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Dennis loved to cook and loved to tell and play jokes. He was a loving husband and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he leaves his wife, Tracy L. (LaPointe) Snyder, whom he married August 4, 2007; a son, Joshua Bean of Phillipston; six siblings, Denise Jones of Burlington, Alan Snyder of Athol, David Snyder of Worcester, Cheryl Syriopoulos of Athol, Sandy Nolette of Gardner and Linda Goddard of Rindge, NH; his dog Lola, as well as many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23rd at 7 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion, 295 School Street, Winchendon. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Friday, July 23rd from 4 to 7 P.M. preceding the funeral service. Members of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 Sons of the American Legion will conduct a service at 6 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to Eugene M.
