Donna M. (Sheppard) Girouard

WINCHENDON – Donna M. (Sheppard) Girouard, 54, of 28 Royalston Road South, Winchendon died unexpectedly at her residence Wednesday morning, March 5th.
A lifelong resident of Winchendon, Donna was born on September 30, 1959, daughter of Annette M. (Homon) Sheppard of Winchendon and the late Gordon A. Sheppard. Donna was a 1977 graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School.
Donna worked for many years with her special friend, Ann Cook, at Perrenial Patch in Winchendon. She previously had worked at the Winchendon Courier and New Hampshire Ball Bearing. Her hobbies were snowmobiling, kayaking, attending car shows and gardening. Donna had a large collection of snowmen. Each year, she worked the Christmas Booth at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Bazaar with her special friend, Jan LaPointe. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and her granddaughter, who fondly called her “Ooma.”.
In addition to her mother, she leaves her husband of 34 years, Joseph A. Girouard; a daughter Stacie A. Girouard; a granddaughter, Chloee Bella Girouard; a brother, Steven G. Sheppard and his wife Lori of Winchendon, a sister, Lisa A. Lary and her husband Bill of Winchendon, a special aunt, Nancy LeBlanc of Winchendon and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Karla A. Haley, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery.
