ASHBURNHAM – Doris E. (Waltz) “Midge” Gould, 92, of Ashburnham, died peacefully at her residence Wednesday morning, November 30, 2022, with her family at her side.

 

She was born in Ashburnham on March 20, 1930, daughter of the late Leon E. and Irma M. (Beck) Waltz and was a resident of Ashburnham her entire life.  

 

Her husband of 57 years, Robert W. Gould, died in 2008.  She leaves six children,  Robert W. Gould 2nd of Ashburnham, Sheila C. Mariano and husband Steve of Westminster, Donna M. Gould of Ashburnham, Michael J. Gould of Winchendon, Scott T. Gould of Ashburnham and Todd P. Gould and his wife Serena of Framingham; a sister, Carol Chenevert of Ashburnham; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, 1 great great grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela N. Smith, her grandson, Brandon S. Gould U. S. Marine Corps and a sister, Barbara Rocheleau.

 

Midge loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She enjoyed animals, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.  She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

 

Funeral services will be private.

 

Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
