WINCHENDON – Doris S. (Theroux) Blair, 93, of 119A Ipswich Drive, Winchendon, died peacefully Monday evening, June 18th in Legend Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on August 3, 1918, daughter of the late Alfred and Adelaide (Ouellette) Theroux and lived in Winchendon for most of her life.
Doris was a long time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and had worked as a volunteer at the former Good As New Shop. She was an avid reader and loved to walk, often walking 4 to 5 miles per day. Doris especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her husband, Reginald E. Blair, died in 1967. She leaves two sons, Donald J. Blair and his wife Dianne of Winchendon and David J. Blair of Gardner; a daughter, Judith D. Busby of Homosassa, FL; a brother, Wilson Theroux of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren, Derek Blair, Chad Blair, John R. Blair, Janelle Cornwell and Leon Rice; six great grandchildren, Emily Blair, Norah Blair, Brandon Cornwell, Kaylee Cornwell, Zachary Blair and Nicholas Blair, several nephews and nieces, and her long time best friend, Anna Santini. She was predeceased by a son, John D. Blair and three brothers, Aurele J. Theroux, Joseph Theroux and Romeo Theroux.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25th at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Leo-Paul J. LeBlanc will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, June 25th from 9 to 10 A.M. preceding the funeral.
