WINCHENDON – Dorothy J (Hill) Lupien, 86, of 20 Duval Court, died peacefully Thursday evening, July 11, 2019 in Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Jaffrey, with her family at her side.
She was born in Union, SC on June 24, 1933, daughter of the late Theo and Mae (Janti) Hill and had lived in Winchendon from 1945 to 1984 when she moved to Rindge. Two years ago, she returned to live in Winchendon.
Dorothy had worked as activities director at the Day Activities Center for Winchendon veterans for 13 years, run by Bedford VA Hospital. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. Dot attended Cornerstone Church Assemblies of God and was a member of the Red Hat Society
Her husband, Richard K. “Ken” Lupien, died in 2009. She leaves ten children, Terrence M. Huff and his wife Gail of Farmington, NH, Jackie R. St. Sauveur and her husband Dan of Fitchburg, Carla N. Haskell and her husband Ray of Jaffrey, Dennis E. Huff of Rindge, Debbie E. Foley and her husband Mike of Brooksville, FL, Daniel L. Huff of Fitchburg, Kenny N. Huff and his wife Janice of Winchendon, Linda M. Belanger and her husband Peter of Winchendon, Penny A. Washburn of Winchendon, Susan A. Pineault and her husband Peter of Jaffrey; two stepsons R. Clifford Lupien and his wife Terry of Winchendon, Bruce C. Lupien and his wife Sandy of West Boylston; two stepdaughters, Karen L. Tcazyk and her husband Gary of Lunenburg, VT and Melanie A. Pouliot and her husband Randy of Gardner. She also leaves her brothers and sisters, Roy Hill of VT, George Hill of AZ, Corliss Gaudette of Corpus Christi, TX, Donald Hill of Troy, James Hill of Troy and David Hill of Marlborough, N, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Willie R. Huff; sisters, Phyllis Gendron, Daisy Knudsen, Charlene Casavant and Donna Hill and a brothers Robert Hill and Philip Hill.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Jay Lillie will officiate.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 10 AM to Noon preceding the funeral.
