GARDNER - Dorothy (Onischuk) Stacy, 87, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday morning, July 2nd, in Legend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gardner, after a brief illness. She was born in Gardner on April 1, 1923, the daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine (Stankewicz) Onischuk and was a lifelong resident of Gardner. Dorothy worked many years ago at the former Kelly Brothers Furniture Co. and Lilly Varnish Co. For the last 40 years, she was a Fuller Brush dealer in the Gardner area. She was a 1942 graduate of Gardner High School. Dorothy was a member of the Polish American Social League and served as its treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Greater Gardner Golden Age Club, Gardner AARP, St. Joseph's Church and the Westminster Historical Association. Her husband of 43 years, Arnold C. Stacy, died in 1992. She leaves a daughter, Mary E. Stacy of Wiscasset, Maine, as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Frank Onischuk and Walter Onischuk, also predeceased her. In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Burial will be private.
