Dr. Robert Arceci

Dr. Robert ("Bob") John Arceci, an internationally prominent pediatric cancer physician and researcher, as well as teacher, editor, and beloved husband and father, most recently of Scottsdale, AZ, died Monday, June 8, 2015 in a tragic traffic incident. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and two sons, John and Andrew. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 5 to 7 pm at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St. in Bob's hometown of Winchendon, MA. Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, also in Winchendon, MA, on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10 am. A celebration of Bob's life and work is planned for this coming September, Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, in Phoenix, Arizona, with details forthcoming. Contributions in his honor may be made to St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research or the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
