E Donald Haggett Jr.

March 8, 1959 — July 27, 2024

Phillipston, MA

It is with a bittersweet sense of honor that we remember the life of E Donald Haggett Jr., known fondly by his friends and family as "Donnie". E Donald, a man whose life was as dynamic and robust as the engines he expertly serviced, left us on July 27, 2024. Born in the quiet town of Amesbury, Massachusetts on January 8, 1959, E Donald lived a life full of vigor, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved.

E Donald was a man of many talents, but none stood out quite like his knack for mechanics. He spent his career as a diesel mechanic, tri-axle dump truck driver, and heavy equipment operator for Graves Sand and Gravel in Templeton, Massachusetts, retiring in the very year of 2024. His hands, always ready to fix a problem, were a testament to his sturdy character. His mechanical prowess extended beyond his professional life, finding its way into his passion for Harleys. As he rode with his friends, the roar of the engines was drowned only by their laughter and camaraderie.

Above all else, E Donald cherished his relationships. He was a beloved husband to April Haggett, who was his high school sweetheart and with whom he shared his life since they were wed on July 1, 1978. Their bond was one for the storybooks, bound by love and a shared enthusiasm for life. He was also a cherished son of Ewell Donald Haggett Sr.; a brother to Steve, Gary, and Kathy; Mother-in-law Janet, brother-in-law to Sue and her husband Jeff, Jeff, Jan, Paul, Amy, and Bernie; uncle to Jamie and Stevie, and a friend to countless others. He is predeceased by his Mother Hazel Haggett and a brother Jamie, Father-in-law Rodney, Brother-in-law Ray Dean. E Donald's memory will forever be kept alive in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.

We invite all who knew and loved E Donald to share their memories and photos on his memorial page. In sharing these precious moments, we keep his spirit alive and remind ourselves of the joy he brought into our lives. Let us remember E Donald not only for the emptiness left by his departure, but for the fullness of life he maintained while he was with us. Please do so at www.stone_ladeau.com.
