Earl E. Patria, Jr., fondly known as “Pat” or “Patrick,” passed away peacefully in his Winchendon home on November 21, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1954, in Winchendon, Massachusetts, Patrick embraced his Irish heritage, celebrating his birthday with family, friends, and traditional Irish music each year.
A proud graduate of Murdock High School, Patrick excelled on the football field and cherished sharing memories of his high school playing days. A devout Catholic, he lived a life centered around faith, family, and love. Patrick was passionate about politics, reading, gaming, and supporting his favorite teams: the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and Notre Dame Football.
His greatest joy came from his family. Patrick was devoted to attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, engaging in long conversations, sharing jokes, and imparting wisdom.
Patrick is survived by his brother, Wayne Patria; his children, Derek Patria and wife Sue Patria, Brian Patria and wife Angelica, and Jennifer Wilson and husband Timothy; and his beloved grandchildren, Natashia Patria, Drew Patria, Kailyn Patria, Jake Earl Patria, Allison Wilson, Jack Wilson, and Amanda Mahanna.
He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Thomas Quirk, and Earl E. Patria, Sr.
Patrick dedicated 16 years of service to Franklin Pierce University as a Campus Safety Officer before his retirement.
Known for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love, Patrick will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon, MA, followed by his burial in the Calvary Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA01475.
