RINDGE, NH – Eileen L. (Young) Sellars, 87, of 580 Main Street, Rindge, died peacefully Friday evening, March 11 th in her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in New Boston, NH on October 19, 1923, daughter of the late Elisha and Anna (Miller) Young and had lived in Rindge since 1943.
Eileen worked as a machine operator for 26 years at New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough, NH until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Rindge and enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
Her husband of 47 years, Euell O. “Red” Sellars, died in 1994. She leaves three daughters, Sandra M. Bigwood and her husband Clinton of Marion, KY, Nancy L. Gaydarik and her fiancé Paul G. Scofield of Rindge and Gail A. Anderson and her husband Robert of Placerville, CA; one brother, Walter J. Young of Keene, NH, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Elisha H. Young, Warren Young and John S. Young, and a sister, Ardis A. Larochelle, predeceased her.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 16 th from 2 to 4 P.M. in Stone –Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA.
Graveside services will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Rindge, NH in the spring.
