Eleanor L. (Rockwood) Rowe

DAYTON, OH - Eleanor L. (Rockwood) Rowe, 86, of Dayton OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 7th, 2010. Eleanor was born on October 14, 1923 in Gardner, daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Willard) Rockwood. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1968, the Dayton Diabetic Association and was an American Red Cross volunteer. Eleanor was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Miami Valley Hospital Diabetic Internship. She was employed with Miami Valley Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH as a Dietician until her retirement. Eleanor was also an instructor at the Miami Valley School of Nursing in Dayton. Eleanor is survived by three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Rockwood of North Andover, MA, Elaine Rockwood of Gardner and June Schmitt of Malta, NY, many nephews, nieces, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Clement James Rowe; four brothers, Albert Eugene, Wendell Arthur, Willard Herbert and Alan Clark Rockwood. Family and friends are cordially invited to a graveside service to be held on Saturday, November 6th at 12:30 PM in Green Bower Cemetery in Gardner.
