WINCHENDON – Elizabeth A. ‘Betty” Stone, 78, of Winchendon, died peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2022, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family at her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Betty was born in Gardner on April 26, 1944, daughter of the late Marlen and Lillian (Pszczolowski) Duteau and was a graduate of Gardner High School. She and her husband had lived in Winchendon since 1969.

She enjoyed fishing in her younger years and going to Old Orchard Beach, Maine each summer.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, Kenneth W. Stone; four children, Lisa A. Mutti and husband Rick, Maria E. Knowlton and husband John, Debby L. Smith and husband James and William A. Stone and wife Kristin, all of Winchendon; eleven grandchildren, Andrew and wife Stefanie, Alex, Samantha, Josh, Rebecca, Hollie, Patrick, Haley, Hanna, Hunter and Rhiannon; four great grandchildren, Allison, Willow, Charlie and Halston; two brothers, David Duteau of Leominster and Dickie Duteau of FL; one sister, Maggie Duteau-Wolf of FL and several nieces and nephews. A great grandson, Benjamin Stone, preceded her in death.
