GARDNER – Elizabeth A. "Punky" (Moriarty) Melanson, 64, of 51 Edgell Street, died peacefully Sunday evening, August 17th at her residence, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on July 24, 1950, daughter of the late John and Mary (Fleurant) Moriarty and lived in Gardner for most of her life.
Elizabeth worked for several years at Data Guide Cable Corporation and last worked as a piece worker at Simplex Time Recorder. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, reading and attending craft fairs.
She leaves her husband, Frank L. Melanson; her brothers and sisters, Patrick Moriarty of Leominster, Michael Moriarty of Florida, Jeanne Mellitt of Ware and Susan Allen of Hubbardston as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Private graveside services will be held in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner. There are no calling hours.
