Elizabeth J. (Fleury) Mercier

SWANZEY, NH – Elizabeth J. (Fleury) Mercier, 72, of 86 Diana Drive, died peacefully Saturday morning, December 27th in Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, with her family at her side.
She was born in Holyoke, MA on May 14, 1942, daughter of the late Dr. Edgar J and Madeline (Scott) Fleury, and graduated from the former Ursuline Academy.
Elizabeth worked for several years as an assistant buyer at Steigers Department Store in Springfield. She lived in Chicopee for many years and then moved to Pensacola, FL where she lived for 11 years. For the last nine years, she lived in Swanzey. She enjoyed traveling by car to her destinations and mostly enjoyed spending time with family.
She leaves her husband of 24 years, Leon P. Mercier; three children, Melissa J. Gladu of Chicopee, MA, James W. Morris of Kissime, FL and Paula M. Windoloski of Swanzey; a stepdaughter, Angela M. Mercier of Gardner; a stepson, Shawn A. Mercier and his wife Natalie of Templeton; a brother, Edgar J. Fleury Jr of Fairfield, CT; five grandchildren, Alicia Gladu, Jordan Gladu, Shelby Gladu, Raymond Windoloski and Tyler Windoloski and a step granddaughter, Lacey Mercier.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31st at 10 AM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA. Burial will follow in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, December 30th from 5 to 7 P.M.
