ASHBURNHAM - Elizabeth L. "Bette" Lambert, 84, of 13 Puffer Street, died Sunday morning, December 4th in the HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster Campus. She was born in Fitchburg on September 16, 1921, the daughter of Ernest and S. Esther (Wing) Lawrence and had lived in Ashburnham for 84 years. Many years ago, she worked in the office for the Gurnsey Company in Peterborough, New Hampshire. She was a communicant of St. Denis Church and was a member of the Forever Young Club. She was a past Noble Grand in the Order of Rebekahs. A graduate of Cushing Academy, she was a former Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader, as well as being a statistician of the Little League. Bette was a lifelong Red Sox fan. Her husband of 58 years, Henry Lambert, died in 2001. She leaves three children, Carole E. Lambert and her husband Edward of Leominster, Henry J. "Little Joe" Lambert and his wife Bea of Ashburnham, and Harriett L. Bundza of Port Orange, Florida; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 7th from the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Denis Church, 85 Main Street, Ashburnham. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keene, New Hampshire. Calling hours in the funeral home will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, December 6th.
