Erna Luhtjarv

WINCHENDON - Erna Luhtjarv, 87, formerly of 16 Ready Drive, died peacefully Friday morning, November 18, 2016 in The Highlands, Fitchburg, with her family at her side.
She was born in Czernowitz, Romania on December 4, 1928 and immigrated to this country in 1951. She lived in Winchendon for many years and lived in Fitchburg for the last eight years.
Erna worked for many years at Troy Mills until her retirement. She enjoyed singing and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves six children, Richard Luhtjarv and his wife Joyce of Fitchburg, Endla Roark and her husband Richard of Winchendon, Silvi Nash and her husband Harry of Irmo, South Carolina, Endel "Jack" Luhtjarv of Winchendon, Roland Luhtjarv and his wife Kimberly of Winchendon and Carl Luhtjarv of Templeton; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller will officiate.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 11 AM to Noon in the funeral home, preceding the service.
