GARDNER – Ernestine M. (Olson) Richard, 72, of 377 Elm Street, died peacefully Wednesday evening, September 23rd in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with her family at her side.
She was born in Dillingham, Alaska, daughter of the late Ernest and Emma (Woods) Olson and grew up in Alaska. For over fifty years, she had been a resident of Gardner.
Ernestine had worked as a CNA doing home health care and private duty care. She enjoyed bowling and mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband, Delphin J. Richard; three children, Colleen Everett and her husband Kenneth of Hubbardston, Lynn Agnelli and her husband Rocco of Gardner and Shawn Richard of Gardner; eight grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Edith Shade of Dillingham, Emily Roberts of California, Joyce Johnson of Anchorage, AK, Ethel Olson of Anchorage, AK, Ellamae Chaney of Dillingahm, AK and Sandra LeClair of Linden, Washington and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Selma Rupke, Evelyn Foster, Ernest Olson Jr and Eric Olson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29th at 1 P.M. in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
