Ethel L. (Webb) Parks

WINCHENDON - Ethel L. (Webb) Parks, 89, of 322 School Street, Winchendon, died Wednesday, March 8th in the Hillcrest Nursing Center, Fitchburg following an illness. She was born in Orange on December 11,1916, the daughter of John W. and Abbie (Richardson) Webb and had resided in Winchendon for 72 years. Ethel was a graduate of Murdock High School with the Class of 1935. She was a packer at the former Clapp Novelty Co. for many years. She then worked as a sander at Modern Contract Furniture in Gardner. She later worked at Heywood Wakefield Company in Gardner until her retirement. Her husband of 52 years, Cyrus E. Parks, died in 1989. Ethel leaves a daughter, Patricia P. Martin and her husband Arthur J. Martin, Jr. of Rindge, New Hampshire; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia E. "Cindy" Parks of Winchendon; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Cyrus E. Parks, Jr. in 1997. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10th at 2 P.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller, pastor of the United Parish, will officiate. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 10th from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. prior to the service.
